Introduction to letter carving

Learn the basics in letter carving

Within this introductory course Sarah will talk you through basic tools involved in woodcarving, the processes involved in letter carving and get you started on doing some carving yourself. This three hour course allows time for you to be able to carve the initial(s) of your choice which you can take away with you at the end of the course.

8 hrs total carving

Design and carve your own sign

An ideal follow on from the introductory course this allows the time for a more in-depth study of letter carving, including techniques used for different types of lettering and the chance to design and make your own sign to take away with you. Additional hours can be added on if you'd like more than the initial 8 hours.

2 x 4 hour sessions are suggested but other variants are possible.
